A Harvard-trained developmental psychologist, who earned her stripes working as a teacher, counselor and mentor, she has a particular passion for educational, community-oriented and family-focused projects that leverage the assets of diverse constituents.
Heseung currently serves as a trustee of Yale’s East Rock Institute, and has sat on the boards of the Pennsylvania Economy League, the Union Benevolent Association, Children’s Village and Mighty Writers. She is also a member of LEADERSHIP Philadelphia, as well as founder/convener of two select business networks (The Huddle and Type Asian).
Among many other awards and recognitions, she was named a SmartCEO Brava Awardee, a Corporate Philanthropy Leader, a Minority Business Leader and Forty Under Forty by the Philadelphia Business Journal. She is asked to speak frequently as business gatherings and conferences.
Heseung holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University, a master’s in education from Harvard University and a doctorate in developmental psychology, also from Harvard.
