Mighty Engine’s Headed for Build Guild

This Wednesday, June 19, Build Guild Philly is coming back to Frankford Hall for its monthly meetup. And we’re going.

If you’ve never heard of it, Build Guild is a social event for local web folk that forgoes the keynote speech, skips the presentations, and gets right to the good part—the part when you hang out with other cool, smart people and drink beer.

Build Guild started in the Boston area and has since spread to nearly twenty cities nationwide. Philadelphia’s Chapter was started by More than Awesome blogger Gabriel Preston and O3 World’s Jacob DeChant.

Open to web developers, designers, coders, and newbs alike, Build Guild Philly goers can expect an all-inclusive, informal evening of low-pressure networking and high-pressure pong. High Fives will abound. Mustaches, though optional, are also likely to appear in unparalleled splendour.

We’ll be there, having a pint, twirling our own mustaches, and keeping an eye out for the newest addition to the Mighty Engine team. That’s right, we’re in the market for a new web developer, and what better place to look for one?

If you recognize us (our pretty mugs can be seen here), come say hello. We don’t bite—unless, of course, you have one of Frankford Hall’s soft pretzels. Then all bets are off.

The party starts at 6 p.m. For more updates on Build Guild Philly, follow them @BG_Philly or log on to buildguild.org.

(P.S.  If you can’t make it and are still interested in joining our team, shoot an email to Operations Director Jennifer Krout at jennifer@themightyengine.com.)
